Tattoo Aftercare
Without Second Skin

To give your tattoo the best start, leave the initial bandage on for 2 to 4 hours after your appointment.

When you're ready to remove it, wash your hands first, then gently clean the area with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel—no rubbing, just a soft press.

Apply a thin layer of your recommended aftercare cream 2 to 3 times a day. Keep the area clean and lightly moisturised, but go easy—too much product can slow the healing process.

For at least two weeks, avoid soaking the area (so no baths, swimming, spas, or saunas), and take it easy on exercise, sweating, or anything that might stretch or stress the tattoo.

Stick to loose, breathable clothing for the first week to avoid irritation, and hold off on shaving the area until it’s fully healed—usually around 3 to 4 weeks.

Gentle care now helps your tattoo heal beautifully for the long run. And if you’re ever unsure, just reach out—we’re here for you.

Aftercare
With Second Skin

If your artist has applied a second skin bandage, leave it on for 3 to 5 days—unless it begins to lift or leak. If that happens, gently remove it in the shower under warm water, and cleanse the area with mild, fragrance-free soap.

Please resist the urge to pick or peel at the bandage—let it come away naturally when it’s ready.

Once removed, continue caring for your tattoo with gentle washing, light moisturising, and lots of kindness. You can follow the standard aftercare steps above to help your tattoo heal beautifully.

Long Term Care

Once your tattoo has healed, protecting it from the sun is one of the best ways to keep it looking fresh—always apply sunscreen when it’s exposed to prevent fading.

Try not to pick, scratch, or peel at your tattoo during healing—or even years later if your skin feels dry—as this can affect the ink over time.

Keeping your skin healthy helps your tattoo stay vibrant. Moisturise regularly and stay well-hydrated—your skin (and your artwork) will thank you.

And remember, tattoos can naturally soften or fade with time. Touch-ups are completely normal, and we’re always here if yours ever needs a little refresh.
